Handling
- FRAME: Just like the TXT RACING models, we build our TXT GP frames to be super strong, using tubular, 1.5mm 25CrMo4 chrome-moly steel! They ensure precise rider feedback, deliver highly effective energy absorption as well as long-lasting durability, thanks to the fact they’re robot cut and laser welded. Weighing just 6kg, all frames ensure precision and toughness and are finished with a robust red powder coating and a unique special edition plate with serial number.
- CNC MACHINED TRIPLE CLAMPS: Red (we like red!) CNC machined triple clamps help deliver a super stable front-end on all TXT GP models, and look great, too. Aiding overall handling and ensuring perfect fitting of the front forks, the 35mm offset clamps are made from the highest quality aluminum for ultimate reliability and minimal weight.
- TECH FORKS: Similar to the TECH forks fitted to our TXT RACING models, just a little better… and golden! The 39mm Golden TECH forks feature 167mm of travel to ensure the entire TXT GP range offers the very best handling. A low friction coating on the stanchion tubes, combined with progressive rate springs and hydraulic compression and rebound adjustment ensure an incredibly smooth and stable ride. A 160 gram aluminum front axle guarantee riders have absolute front wheel confidence.
- REIGER 3-WAY SHOCK ABSORBER: With high / low compression adjustment as well as a hydrostop – internal shock magic that makes compression damping incredible progressive when close to fully compressed – and bottom rebound, which keeps the shock compressed for an adjustable amount of time in order to boost traction, the REIGER 3-way shock is one of the stand out features of all TXT GP models. Delivering serious performance, the REIGER shock ensures maximum traction, every time.
- SWINGARM: Ready to take those big rear wheel hits, our hollow, one-piece cast aluminum swingarms are both slim and super solid. Developed together with our vastly experienced manufacturing partner, we’ve increased the already proven rigidity to ensure additional stiffness, reliability and perfect flex behavior. Additionally, a linkage system ensures a super progressive rear suspension action.
Motor
- MOTOR: The big one as far as our 2-stroke trial line-up goes! The TXT GP 300 motor is all about producing strong, tractable power and a huge amount of torque while also being compact. Giving riders all they need to blast their way up challenging, technical uphills, thanks to the closeness of all internal parts the motor also helps keep the bike feeling light, easy to move and quick to change direction.
- S3 CYLINDER HEAD: Forged from the best quality aluminum, the S3 cylinder head is manufactured with thicker walls and a higher water flow to ensure a maximum cooling rate. Increasing compression, it ensures more torque, even when riding in ‘thin air’ at higher altitudes.
- CYLINDER & PISTON: The GASGAS TXT GP 300 is known for its big power, excellent torque and class-leading performance, all of which is partly due to the specially developed 79mm piston. Together with a cylinder that has specifically designed intake and exhaust ports, it ensure the perfect flow of air/fuel mixture and ensures seriously impressive performance across the entire rev range.
- EXHAUST SYSTEM: Beautiful to look at, extremely light and key to all TXT GP models delivering best-in-class power. Our titanium expansion chambers maximizes motor performance, ensure slimmer ergonomics and also aid overall handling. When fitted to a silencer that is configured to be exactly like those on our race team bikes, it creates a formidable exhaust system.
- FUEL TANK AND CARBURETOR: Fully integrated into both the frame and bodywork, our 2.3-liter fuel tank is so compact it almost doesn’t exist! Featuring a simple removal system, it feeds the Keihin PWK 28mm carburetor that in turn ensures all 2-stroke motors receive the fuel they need to deliver a wide spread of smooth, strong power. A J.Juan throttle cable ensures quick and easy adjustment.
- TRANSMISSION: The lightest gearbox in any trial bike on the market and another patented GASGAS part! The 4/6 system allows riders to select from 6 gears when there are only 4 gears on the internal transmission shaft. Ensuring all TXT GP bikes are technologically advanced, they reduce weight and allow for super compact crankcases.
- CRANKSHAFT: We work hard to ensure the crankshaft on the TXT GP 300 runs as freely as possible, like we do on all of our trial bikes. Ideally balanced for incredibly smooth, vibration free motor performance, it deliver the 60mm stroke via a high-performance aluminum connecting rod with a closed main bearing by SKF for peace of mind and long-lasting durability.
- CRANKCASE: The TXT GP 300 delivers serious performance from an ultra-compact motor. Something only possible because of the super-small crankcases. Manufactured using a gravity casting process, they’re lightweight while also being incredibly strong and feature a central locating pin and seal for improved sealing. They also hold all internal motor parts close to the bike’s center of gravity for awesome handling.
- CLUTCH: To ensure a perfect, progressive action each and every time, all TXT GP models are fitted with the GASGAS 1/3 compact hydraulic clutch, which consisting of 3 Kevlar friction plates, 2 steel plates and a Belleville spring system for a guaranteed perfect operation each and every time. Allowing riders to build revs and deliver exact amounts of power to the rear wheel, the reliable, high-quality system also guarantees even wear, near maintenance-free operation and perfect action on every ride and in all weathers.
Parts
- BRAKTEC BRAKES: Complete braking confidence with a sensitive and progressive feel. That’s what the Braktec braking systems fitted to all TXT GP models ensures. The front 4-piston caliper features a 185mm front waved disc by NG while the rear 2-piston caliper features a 150mm NG FIM disc. Both deliver impressive stopping power. The rear brake system features patented magnetic brake pads, which stay open when the wheel is removed. Pretty neat, right!
- S3 FORGED STEEL HARD ROCK PEGS: Offering three different options, the adjustable, large platform Hard Rock pegs from S3 offer standard, forwards and backwards positioning options. Ensuring riders can fine-tune their bike depending on personal preference and riding conditions, they allow for a precise, individual set-up.
- INTEGRATED COOLING SYSTEM, FAN AND RADIATORS: Cool running motors produce the best power, that’s why our TXT GP bikes use an aluminum radiator together with a 115mm electrical, and waterproof, fan, with a thermostat to ensures a stable and constant coolant temperature. Red, double-layered silicone cooling hoses complete the robust and effective cooling system.
- WHEELS: We use a simple but effective recipe when making our trial wheels. Mix CNC machined hubs with lightweight spokes and zinc plated steel nipples and connect them to high-strength aluminum rims by Morad! The result is super strong wheels that ensure an ultimate combination of strength, performance and reliability. A super lightweight 160 gram aluminum front axle guarantees riders have absolute front wheel confidence.
- IGNITION / ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Fitted as standard with a map switch that changes engine character according to rider preference, weather and terrain type, and an AC Alternator that delivers more energy for a better spark, the TXT GP ignition and electrical system also uses no battery. Both the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and ignition coil are specifically positioned to be well protected and out of sight. A 3.4 kilogram rotor helps ensure maximum motor torque.
- TYRES: Michelin’s super-light X11 tires connect all of our TXT GP bikes to the rocks, mud and obstacles beneath them. The best in the business, they feature super-pliable knobbles that together with low pressures offer exceptional grip.
Style
- BODYWORK: Minimalist. Lightweight. Durable. We love our bikes’ distinctive, modern and super-slim look. The bodywork of all GASGAS TXT GP trial bikes ensures riders feel comfortable and confident during every ride. And because no rider goes more than a few weekends without a fall, we use Polypropylene when injection molding our plastics, which doesn’t mark when bent more than 90 degrees. All front mudguards feature an integrated fork brace.
- CARBON FIBER AIRBOX AND AIR FILTER ACCESS: A piece of art and an industrial design masterpiece! The carbon fiber airbox fitted to the TXT GP line-up ensures maximum airflow and the best filter protection. Featuring a clever, patented design, the airbox is a structural part of each bike yet feature no additional sub-assemblies. The Twin Air filter is easily accessed and can be removed by taking out just one bolt.
- EXCLUSIVE CTG FACTORY GRAPHICS: Finishing the look of our TXT GP models, a set of factory graphics gives each bike a clean, distinctive appearance.
- RENTHAL HANDLEBARS AND GRIPS: When you push the limits you make mistakes, which is why the TXT GP line-up is fitted with tapered Renthal handlebars – the best in the business when it comes to strong dependable ‘bars. Finished with a central protective pad, Renthal grips ensure riders get the very best hold of their TXT GP bike
- FUEL TANK AND CARBURETOR: Fully integrated into both the frame and bodywork, our 2.3-liter fuel tank is so compact it almost doesn’t exist!
